USTA Partners with Positive Coaching Alliance to Support Youth Athletes Nationwide

Oakland, CA - The United States Twirling Association (USTA) has established a partnership with Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA), a national non-profit working to provide all youth and high school athletes a positive, character-building sports experience.

The partnership provides USTA access to PCA's training for coaches, sports parents, student-athletes, and administrators through live group workshops and online courses. It also includes additional online resources such as follow-up tips and reminders for using sports as a positive youth development tool.

PCA has partnered with more than 3,500 schools, districts, conferences, youth sports organizations, and park-and-rec departments to help build a Development Zone® culture. Through these partnerships, PCA works to ensure that youth and high school sports provide athletes with a positive, growth-oriented experience.

“We look forward to working with the United States Twirling Association to create the best possible experience for their athletes,” said Positive Coaching Alliance President Jason Sacks. “We appreciate USTA leadership making a positive experience a priority for all involved, including athletes, coaches, and parents. When sports are done right, we know it can be an amazing opportunity not only to strive to win but more importantly, teach life lessons that will stay with our youth long after their competing days are over.”

“As the nation's leading sport baton twirling organization, USTA constantly strives to provide our athletes, parents, coaches, judges, volunteers, and other baton twirling supporters with the best educational and competitive resources,” said USTA President Karen Cammer. “Our partnership with Positive Coaching Alliance expands those resources for our members and further enables us to fulfill our mission to promote positive youth development through the sport of baton twirling.”
