2008 U.S. International Cup Selection Processs - 28 posts
The procedure for qualifying to compete as a member of the U.S. International Cup Team in Australia for the 2009 WBTF International Cup has changed. The World Baton Twirling Federation mandated that content restrictions be added to the B Level (not yet in effect for 2 & 3 Baton, but for Solo, Teams and Groups in 2008) The content restrictions were initiated in an effort to allow the lower level countries to have some success and initiative to participate. It will be necessary to follow the content restrictions, because penalties will be imposed. It became important for the United States to re-vamp our qualifying process. Therefore, our athletes must now declare which level they intend to enter at the 2008 International Cup Selections in Daytona Beach, where we will select the athletes to represent us at the 2009 WBTF International Cup in Australia.
