U.S. Trials

The prestigious U.S. Trials Program selects Team USA, a group of elite level athletes, to represent the United States in the World Baton Twirling Championships. The U.S. Trials are held in late March or early April during even-numbered years at varying locations throughout the United States.

Athletes competing in the U.S. Trials have successfully passed through all required levels of Compulsories and Movement Technique to qualify for this competition. Individual athletes compete in Compulsories and Freestyle in the Junior Division and Short Program and Freestyle in the Senior Division.

Gold, silver and bronze medalists, and an alternate are selected in the following divisions: Junior Women, Senior Women, Junior Men and Senior Men. One Junior Pair, one Senior Pair, and one Team are also selected.

The 2020 U.S. Trials will be held March 27-29, 2020 at Lawrenceburg High School in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. This is in the Cincinnati, Ohio area and is just 10 minutes from the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport.
