U.S. Trials postponed( Sat, Mar 14 00:03:AM)

The USTA Board of Directors and the staff of the 2020 U.S. Trials deeply regret to inform participants that the U.S. Trials must be postponed.
This decision is the result of the escalating coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, the direction of the World Health Organization advising all sporting activities to consider canceling near-future events, as well as the Lawrenceburg School District’s Mark Pierson, of Lawrenceburg HS who sent this message:
“We are canceling non-essential events. Therefore, the baton twirling competition can not be held at LHS.”
While we are deeply saddened to cancel this prestigious event, our priority is, and always has been, the health and wellbeing of all those involved with our organization. We undeniably state our commitment to continue our mission to provide a venue for athletes to achieve the extraordinary through performance and competition.
Please know that your leadership team will be working non-stop to re-schedule the Trials and you will be first to know the alternative plan when that decision has been made.
Hotel Cancellation: Please call the hotel where you have a reservation to check on their cancellation policy. As we are being told, you have 72 hours from the posting of this announcement to cancel.
Over the coming weeks we will be working to untangle the complexities of this situation and we appreciate your patience and understanding.
To all the athletes: All your long, hard hours of training for this competition have made you a better YOU. Continue this work as you strive for your pinnacle performance level in World competition as TEAM USA!
We believe in the strength of our people and the ability to adjust to whatever we must handle.
With great respect and acknowledgment of this difficulty,
Your U.S. Trials staff and USTA Board of Directors
